Thin colored acrylic applied over routed or dimensional substrates.
Acrylic is useful when a design needs a smooth manufactured face, thin color layer or crisp small detail. We use it as a component of the finished sign rather than forcing every project into one substrate.
Acrylic provides a hard, smooth face and can be cut into fine shapes. HDU is thicker, lighter and easier to carve deeply. A layered routed sign may use both when the design benefits from each material.
Small letters and detailed logos may be laser cut when the material and finish are appropriate. Large acrylic letters, thicker stock and some edge requirements may be better suited to CNC routing. The quote identifies the process, completion level and mounting support being supplied.

The approved project is evaluated as a complete sign. Tool access, paint build, handling, mounting and shipping can change what is practical even when the screen artwork looks simple.
Some projects hide the edge against a panel. Others intentionally show it. Sheet color, paint, polish level and adhesive choice should be defined according to how close the viewer will be.
If exposed edges are part of the design, the approved drawing should identify the material color and finish treatment so the shop can machine and finish them accordingly.
