*Standard-production target for qualifying straightforward routed signs after approved production-ready artwork and payment. Up to two paint colors, normal routing and finishing. Complex assemblies, specialty finishes, oversized work, revisions and larger quantities may require additional production time. Shipping transit is separate.
Routing creates precise geometry, but the last stage still depends on fitting, cleanup, alignment, inspection and careful handling before the sign is packed.
Every finished sign receives this hands-on attention before it leaves our shop. We compare the completed work with the approved artwork and project specifications, verify the colors and dimensional details, inspect the background texture and edge finish, and make any final adjustments needed. The sign is then protected, packaged for its size and destination, and prepared for nationwide shipment from our Alpharetta, Georgia manufacturing shop. We produce custom routed signs for sign companies, brokers, contractors, franchise locations and commercial buyers throughout the United States.

Routed signage is sign work shaped or carved with CNC routing to create a finished panel, dimensional lettering, recessed background, V-grooved detail, custom perimeter or layered assembly. The term describes how the sign is manufactured—not one single material.
Customers often know they want a carved or dimensional sign long before they know what HDU is. We start with the finished appearance, viewing distance and installation, then choose the substrate and routing method that make sense.
HDU is our preferred exterior carving material for many projects because it machines consistently and does not rot like natural wood. Acrylic, PVC, rigid backers and metal hardware can also be part of the final assembly.

The manufacturing scope is written before production begins so there is no confusion about routing depth, loose components, primer, paint, mounting provisions, packing or shipping.
Before material is cut, the approved drawing identifies the dimensions, routed depths, separate pieces and mounting details that affect fabrication.

Explore custom blanks →High-density urethane is not the product we sell; the routed sign is. HDU matters because it gives the shop a uniform, non-rotting board that can be carved deeply without knots or grain direction.
For many projects we begin with 15-pound HDU and choose thickness around panel size, relief depth, edge profile and mounting. Denser or thicker material is used when the design gives us a reason.
